Our history
The story of Oliviero Firenze begins after the war, grandfather of the current owner. Carlo made clogs and work shoes by hand in his home, the products most in demand at that time by the people who lived in the mountains of the Upper Mugello. The business continued with Carlo's son, Oliviero Rifutti, who immediately became passionate about the world of footwear. His main job becomes that of going door-to-door to sell shoes, riding his trusty bicycle, just like his father did before him.
With the economic boom of the 60s, the individual company of Oliviero Rifutti was born, which will mainly focus on the itinerant sale of its products. These will be fundamental decades for the expansion of the Oliviero brand. His wife and children also worked with him, dedicating themselves to the hard work of going around the markets.
Then the big turning point came in 1976, with the opening of the first shop, located on the main street of San Piero a Sieve, in the province of Florence. A strategic position that in the following years will allow it to become the reference shop for footwear in Mugello .
In 1993, Oliviero's son, Michele , became the owner of the business. Thanks to Michele's ability to know how to discover and anticipate fashions , Oliviero Firenze becomes a regular stop even for those looking for the latest trend shoes.
It is the great passion and dedication that make Oliviero Firenze grow and in 2007 the shop expands and changes location. In 2013, the need was felt to further expand the range of products and the current headquarters in San Piero a Sieve were inaugurated, in the modern complex in Via Ilaria Alpi, 26. A 440 square meter shop with over 30 footwear brands and, great news, the range of accessories and clothing .
